NAPLAN 详解

NAPLAN——即 National Assessment Program – Literacy and Numeracy（全国读写与算术评估计划）——是一项全国测评，由三、五、七、九年级的所有学生参加。它每年三月举行，考查四个领域：Reading（阅读）、Writing（写作）、Conventions of Language（语言规范）和 Numeracy（算术）。它是读写与算术的一次全国快照——不是通过／不通过的考试，也不是选拔性考试。
什么是 NAPLAN？
NAPLAN——即 National Assessment Program – Literacy and Numeracy（全国读写与算术评估计划）——由 ACARA 主办，ACARA 是负责澳大利亚课程（Australian Curriculum）的机构。每年，三、五、七、九年级的学生参加同一份全国测评，让家庭、学校和政府了解孩子在支撑一切学习的读、写、算能力上的进展。
同样重要的是要知道 NAPLAN 不是什么。它不是通过／不通过的考试，不用于为任何学校或班级选拔学生，也没有需要“考进”某处的分数。它是对照全国标准、在某一时间点的一次快照——是有用的信息，而不是对孩子的裁决。
四个年级
每个年级测评的都是同样的四个领域——只是文本和题目会随着孩子从三年级到九年级逐步加深。
三年级
第一次 NAPLAN。阅读、语言规范和算术在线上完成；三年级的写作任务是唯一仍用纸笔完成的部分。
五年级
阅读文本比三年级更长，算术也更有难度。四个领域，包括写作，都在线上完成。
七年级
中学阶段的第一次 NAPLAN。文本更复杂，算术涉及更多多步推理。
九年级
最后一次 NAPLAN。读写与算术任务难度最高，仍涵盖同样的四个领域。
考试内容
NAPLAN 有四个测评领域。其中三个是选择题和简答题；写作是一项较长的任务，由受过培训的评卷员评分。
Reading（阅读）
一组文本，随后是考查理解、推断以及作者如何运用语言的题目。在线上完成，采用会根据学生调整的自适应设计。
Writing（写作）
根据共同题目完成的一篇写作——记叙文或议论文，同一年级所有学生的类型相同。由受过培训的评卷员依据全国评分指南评分。
Conventions of Language（语言规范）
拼写、语法和标点。选择题和简答题，在线上完成。
Numeracy（算术）
数、代数、测量、几何、统计与概率——运用到奖励清晰推理的真实问题中。
NAPLAN 如何进行

自 2023 年起，NAPLAN 每年在三月于一个全国统一的考试窗口内进行，为期约两周。学校在这一窗口内自行选择具体日期。

结果在当年稍晚公布
个人报告在当年稍晚发给家庭，显示孩子相对于本年级全国等级的所处位置。

Six bags give only 36 apples — not enough. Seven bags give 42, which covers all 40. When a division doesn't come out evenly and you can't buy part of a bag, round up to the next whole bag.
“The lighthouse had not been lit for thirty years. Its lamp was dark and its stairs were dusty. Yet every sailor in the bay still called it ‘the guardian’, as though it watched over them from the rocks.” Why do the sailors still call it ‘the guardian’?

The passage says the lamp is dark and unused, so it can't be the light itself. Calling it ‘the guardian’ shows the sailors' lasting respect for what it once did — a feeling, not a fact about the building. Reading questions reward the meaning the words actually support.
“The path grew narrow and treacherous as it wound along the cliff edge.” In this sentence, the word treacherous most nearly means —

The clues — a narrow path winding along a cliff edge — point to dangerous. When a word is unfamiliar, the nearby words usually pin down its meaning.

The correct spelling is definitely — it hides the word ‘finite’ in the middle (de-finite-ly). Looking for smaller words inside a tricky one is a reliable spelling check.

‘Its’ (no apostrophe) shows possession here — ‘it's’ only ever means ‘it is’, which doesn't fit. ‘Children’ is already plural, so its possessive is children's. Checking whether ‘it's’ can be read as ‘it is’ settles this every time.
Sample prompt. “A door you have never noticed before.” Write a narrative (a story) that begins from this idea. In NAPLAN, the writing type — narrative or persuasive — is the same for every year level and is revealed on the day.
What markers reward in a strong response:
- • A clear shape suited to the task — a story that builds, or arguments that stack up.
- • Ideas developed with detail, not just listed.
- • Precise, varied vocabulary and well-formed sentences.
- • Accurate spelling, punctuation and paragraphing, even under time pressure.
- • Writing aimed at its reader from the first line to the last.
NAPLAN writing is scored by trained markers against a national marking guide. A minute spent planning before you write is time well spent.
